Steve DelTufo has left the band, we are currently auditioning drummers...until then we are recording and will continue to play as a 3 piece sporadically starting next year. If you are reading this and are a drummer, you can contact us via the 'contact' page.

In case you were wondering why no gigs until December,this is because we are taking a brief hiatus from playing out to involve ourselves in other things. We hope to also start recording over the next couple of months.

A quick update on what's been going on...

The Javelina Festival scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed. We will be performing on Saturday October 1st of the three day festival.

Also, we will be taking some time off from touring between October and December to do some recording for our second album. We have some really great tunes that we're excited about and can't wait to get them out to the public. Meanwhile check out our show dates section to see where you can catch us next.

So in case you missed it, we were on 'The Rhode Show' this morning performing 'Draggin' Bones'. I'm told the performance will be on the Fox Providence WPRI website.

Also, we are very excited to be part of two great festivals this month. The first being the 'Word x Word' festival on August 18th and the 'Javelina Festival' on August 27th. We also shall not forget 'Hempstock' on August 20th and then the Keene Festival in early September.

Been a little while...

We just added a video from our in studio performance with Max Bowen on Citywide Blackout. In the video, you'll here us discuss many cool things as well as perform a new song called 'Best of Me'.

Jeff Byrd and Dirty Finch are an alt-country / roots-rock band out of Rhode Island that have been playing relentlessly all over the Northeast. Their southern style twang and infectious hooks and melodies are causing quite the buzz amongst fans and critics alike.

JB & DF's song 'Probably Maybe' is currently featured in a nationwide commercial for the American Beverage company for their 'Clear on Calories' campaign and is being spun on CNN, FOX and other popular national stations.

They will also be performing _ The Precinct in Boston for 'Gram National 2010', a festival celebrating the life of Gram Parsons.

JBDF were also selected as one of the artists to play the 40th anniversary of Gap stores in Smithfield, Rhode Island and their songs 'Probably Maybe' and 'Draggin' Bones' were selected through Reverbnation as free downloads made possible by Microsoft. Jeff also performed at the Jeff Buckley birthday celebration at the Metro & Uncommon Ground in Chicago in 2002. The band has most recently been nominated in Limelight Magazines online Readers Poll for 2010 for Band of the Year, Album of the Year, Live Artist of the Year and Male Vocalist (Jeff Byrd).
